One of the loveliest things about having grandparents around at my age, is discovering so much about the music they love

I would never be exposed to, or find on my own, so much music that has in ways, made them who they are.

I love raiding their records and sheet music.

I feel like a little kid in a candy store.

In other words, we are at my Dads parents and I'm in the living room with Gramps, a piano, and a gorgeous old record player

my parents like the old stuff. They talk about glen miller, frank sinatra, etc.

My Grandparents like those as well, but they also go to Jazz bars and dance still. So they like a lot of new artists as well.

As for Sinatra, he tells a story in song better than anyone! Omg

Ha. That's good they dance.
My parents used to dance at weddings and people would let them do their thing. Was fun to watch them do that

@TheCunylinguist: nice. They like Swing jazz, and they love tango. They aren't ancient. My Gramps is 73 and his own father is still living and reads all the time, and still lives in his own house still (with help now)

Point being, you're not old unless you tell yourself you are
