Try looking for an astronomy club in your area....they likely have star parties at a local dark site.

Me too. I'm right in the middle of a city and my telescopes aren't much use. We do have dark sky parks in this country now, though, and I plan to visit soon.

I once was on a mountain near the sea in Maine at midnight. OMG the stars were so bright and numerous. And I saw the Milky Way!

I totally agree! I absolutely hate all the light at night. If it were up to me there would be NO street lights at all. Your lights on the car are more then sufficient
