not that I know of, that attic can get rather warm even in mild weather. I've heard of an ex-con who was living in a woman's attic, he had been up there several weeks and she was hearing odd sounds at first thinking it was something else but pinpointed it to the attic. And my friend worked in an academic building as a janitor, she'd let herself in with the key about 4 a.m. and work. Said the secretaries were complaining about candy being removed from their candy jars while they weren't working, and even change taken out of their drawers. Apparently he was rifling through all the unlocked areas while my friend was working. Police caught him living in the ceiling, he would remove the tile and stand on a desk and climb up there and put it back....had stinky bedspreads, a pile of porn magazines, etc. The police did a stake-out and caught him. He had just gotten out of prison and was living there since his release, he had no money. Would leave the building after my friend was working and before the secretaries got there spending the day eating at charity place and finding what he could get into, and learned what time the building was locked at night and sneak in before the doors were locked.
