That is amazing.
At the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, there is a bust of "Woman with a veil", which is a similar miracle of marble-carving. Apparently this was a popular technique for a while -- creating the illusion that you were looking through sheer cloth.
But the statue you are showing us is far more impressive. And, as you say, quite timely. Thank you. And Happy Easter.
