How did Babe Ruth influence the 1920s?

I have to write a paper over that and I only have because he was a good baseball player

My mother, as a little girl, knew Babe Ruth personally. She and her cousin (my aunt) used to go to spring training in St Petersburg to watch the Yankees practice, and Babe Ruth knew many of the kids, including my mom, by name. He preferred spending time with kids over adults and always obliged in terms of autographs, etc. He and other Yankee players used to come to my great uncle's home for poker at night during spring training. My mom and my aunt had to be in bed but they listened at the door to listen to the poker conversation. My mom said Lou Gehrig was very nice, but her favorite was always Babe. I have a photo of her and my aunt with Babe Ruth, another with Lou Gehrig, and another with babe showing a little league team (all the little kids in uniform) how to hold a bat.

@BiasForAction Wow. So cool!!
@ChampagneOnIce Yeah--my Mom (who had way more interesting experiences as a kid than I ever did) was a huge fan of Babe Ruth.
