What strikes fear into your heart and soul?

Oooooo... I am so very sorry for what you had to experience! I was having an arthroscopic surgery on my left knee. I was awake for 30 minutes of that 45 operation. No one knew I was awake, and I was too shocked to talk very much about it after, at least for the first year and a half. Then I met my first other Anesthesia Awareness survivor, and her story shocked me out of feeling sorry for myself, she'd woken during 5 or 6 surgeries!! So, while we talked, she made me promise to never shut up about what happened to me, and to find out why Awarenesses happen and how to prevent them. You are the second survivor I've met this year, and the 14th I've met in all since my Awareness. While I am very sad about what you, and others have endured, I am pleased to have met another survivor. It reminds me that I'm not alone, and that's comforting to me.

@PeanutsauntieP1982: Wow, thank YOU for sharing all that. I had no idea this happened to others. I was in so much pain, I couldn't even talk. Hospitals still traumatize me a bit. I'm sorry for what you went through too.
