According to dr Phil, people under the age 18 haven't have their brains fully grown yet, which makes them having difficulty to know what impact their acts could have onto other people. I guess that means the same as not taking things seriously, because they can't. They have to get older first until their brains are fully grown.

Its a coping mechanism. And its better not to take life too seriously, as life is serious enough already.

For some people who laugh about serious issues; it is a way for them to cover up what they really feel. Fearful of rejection from peers.
For others - They may be to optimistic to even see why we have to be serious at times.

Not everyone takes life seriously. And then you have people who are always uptight. Joking can indicate nervousness or awkwardness on how to respond in a particular situation. Some may use laughter as a way to avoid addressing real issues.

I am not too serious but I can also joke,I dont feel confortable around people that always but always take it as a joke.
