How do you go back to being strangers with someone who's seen your soul?

They cannot know the new you. The one who is dealing with the loss and who is moving forwards. They knew a piece of you. From the past. None of us is the same as we were yesterday let alone a year or more ago. You return to being someone they used to know just like in the song. And you either let them go or you stay mired in the memories. Not a good place to be. So these are my words, my opinions.
