'Depressed' has such a range within it.
Most folk are probably just bored. Can't think what to do to relieve it and end up feeling depressed as a result !!

When I was working at Walmart it was the season where people were still paying off Christmas gift debts and trying to save up for their income taxes....they'd buy a big cart or two of groceries and then grumble and grouch to me while they were leaving at how expensive everything was.
