That gives the slope of the line...
dy/dx = (delta)y/(delta)x
for lines
this slope is the tangent of the angle theta made by the line with the x-axis
tan(theta) = (delta)y/(delta)x
so
theta = arctan{(delta)y/(delta)x}
dy/dx = (delta)y/(delta)x
for lines
this slope is the tangent of the angle theta made by the line with the x-axis
