@Stereoguy: I assume you got a copy of Digital Photo Professional with the camera? Rawtherapee is another free program that's great for editing photos. I guess it depends on how much editing you intend to do. I always tried to keep it minimal.

@Stereoguy: I know my 7D came with a bunch of software. You might want to check canon's website. Otherwise, Rawtherapee is pretty good. I haven't used it much, but they do have a nice pdf manual you can download.
