If they are unwilling or put up an argument when you want to see a pic. Also reverse search everything.
But even the good ones can have a buddy posing for them that's happened to me. I just say be vigilant in noticing any discrepancies in their story. For instance I had one chick who said she was 35 but at one point talked about how she wished pinball would make a comeback. Childhood memories of hers watching people play. Well that's impossible if she was 35. She ended up being 55.
Just don't think emotionally and see with logic. It will come out eventually.

@theowl: well she referred to pinball wizards and everyone would be crowded around watching. I thought the same thing and dismissed it. But it was my first clue that something wasn't right.

i had an online friend who lied a lot about herself too. but she wasnt fake just who she made herself out to be and things about herself. like she was still a 27 year old woman. just not honest at all.

@theowl: that's better then being catfished. But not by much. No evil intent.

yeah there was an evil intent after i caught her lying she turned narcissistic on me. she was trying to make herself out to be really innocent when she wasnt.
