I would like to know what other online communities are out there for people like me.

uh.. a gofundme and talk it up.. get supporters and then hire folks and tell them what you'll pay them...
then you may need to talk to a lawyer... if you can friend one that would work wonders.
and make sure you have situational setups in case it fails.
and a bank where you can put your 'subsidies'.
good PR or the 'word of mouth'.
and a place where some folks can 'shack up' while they're working with you.

@Augusta: The groups are dead. Instead, I invite as many people as possible to be a connection. The more connections you have the more shared connections you have with other people. I took my connections from 330 to 2400 in 1 month doing that. I simply invited people that had mutual connections with me even though I didn't know them. 90% of people accept.
We also have a company page and post articles. Again, the more connections you have the more people will read the articles.
I also put links back to my website in any LinkedIn articles. This is good for Search Engine Optimization, which improves your search rankings for your website.
