Why is it that we humans always want to advance in science and technology

And not evolve spiritually?

Remember science is material and limited and spiritual evolution can take us to different dimensions

There's always been a wave, and there always will. Some years or decades with high focus on spirituality, and some years or decades with high focus on science. So I wouldn't say always.

Either way, I'd say it's because science leads to progress, while spirituality leads to... not much.
