Why do people say black girls look stupid with blond hair but not white girls?

I have two best friends who are both white and one has beach blond hair. I wanna buy a blond wig but my friends think I'm crazy and black women look ridiculous unless they have light skin. One said I have very dark skin (I'm black) and darker hair like jet black looks better on me and my natural afro looks cuter.

sometimes bleach blond hair looks bad on anybody....like i remember seeing this one girl that stood out in the hallway and you could instantly tell that wasn't her natural hair color and that she got it bleached by just looking at her....not to mention her hair was hella bright which made it seem ugghh to me in a way, like you do you girl...but ughhh she was to grossly bright for me to look at....plus dosent your like hair count as ur like negative space or like black/dark contrast or something? you know what i mean? so its weird
