depends on the specific lens. some are great, some not so great. you will have to check out reviews and know what's important for you for each lens you are looking at.

i dont know about those specific ones, but for an all in one i would probably stick with one of the camera brand lenses, they have ones that aren't that expensive.

for something like that I would, but i haven't needed a new lens in a while. i know the sigma and tameron long zooms, the 150-600 are extremely good for the money. i prefer mostly primes myself but i do have a 20-300 i take on vacations.

i would go with the 16-300 if it was a all in one take on vacation lens. if you want to take pics to hand on your wall (not that the 16-300 wont do that), you probably want better glass and a bigger F stop (faster glass), like the others probably have.

the smaller the number the more light you let in so you can use a faster shutter speed and the more of the background you can get blurry. but the more expensive the lens is. go to flicker and check out groups called f2.8 or bokeh.

thats very subjective. i really like the blurry backgrounds so i use lenses with lower numbers that i had to save up to buy. it also depends on what kind of pictures you are taking. i would recommend getting an all around lens then saving up for something like a 50mm 1.8f and see if thats somethign you like. you can always look at used lenses too.
