I mean, in one way, yes it is sexist. He shouldn't just assume your meeting went well because you are a woman. But then again, maybe that is why. Maybe the guy you met with does better with woman than men. I know I can talk to women easier than I can with men. Don't ever take what is men say seriously. We are idiots most of the time.

Threatened by your ability to get along with the client. Threatened by you. Insecure in his position.
firefall · 61-69, M
Yeah, it is sexist, & a putdown of you. Of course, it might also be an accurate assessment of the client, but that's still a shitty, sexist way of putting it if so.
UnhatchedEgg · 31-35, F
I thought so (on the sexist part), on the other hand, I am sure that this colleague of mine has a good opinion of me and wouldn't intentionally try to underestimate me. About the client, well not sure, he seemed fine to me, but then it was the first time I am meeting with him.
firefall · 61-69, M
@UnhatchedEgg: Ah, in that case, your colleague may just be speaking from a position of deeper knowledge. Still a crappy way to frame it, but that sort of thing just sneaks into guys thinking & speaking, without intent.
UnhatchedEgg · 31-35, F
@firefall: Yep It could very possible be the case, specially that he is a nice guy generally.

You can NEVER be "over Feminist" we can lose our rights in a split second. How I wish you had asked him what you asked here...I would be so interested in his response.
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
@Fernie: 🤣
UnhatchedEgg · 31-35, F
@Fernie: hahaha :D
UnhatchedEgg · 31-35, F
@Fernie: No problem, I will ask him tomorrow :D
MorningStar · 31-35, M
You had a polite conversation with him. THAT is a better result.
Fauxmyope2 · 26-30, F
Congrats on the successful meeting.
Flenflyys · 31-35, F
It could be true though. Especially if they had previous experiences with him where he was a dick.

watch out for that neurotic.
SweetMae · 70-79, F
It is hard to say what another person's motives are. Maybe.
You can interpret that comment a lot of ways.
UnhatchedEgg · 31-35, F
What are some of these ways? haha
sighmeupforthat · 46-50, M
sits back with some raisinettes.
UnhatchedEgg · 31-35, F
lol
Elegy · 46-50
Sounds like they are the bigot's and not the client, maybe.
Yeah, it was sexist. Easier for him to believe you had an "unfair" advantage than to acknowledge a skill he didn't possess.
UnhatchedEgg · 31-35, F
Thanks, I needed someone to confirm to me because I often question my reasoning whenever I get offended or upset with someone
harley06105 · 51-55, M
It may or may not be sexist. I would let it go.
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
it's probably because you were a woman, men dont get along very well with other men to my knowledge
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
@Fernie: as a man i should know, you little ostrich
