Someone puts a knife to your cheek. Hesitant threat response makes you freeze. Will you fight back or let them take their advantage b4 they take off?

It can be any scenario.

A couple of options are available.

1) The classic stretched-arm-wall-choke-disarm. Here's a technique variation of that:

2) The classic choke disarm:

3) Firmly grab his knife hand's wrist with your same hand so that he can't pull it away, then with your other arm, swing it past his knife arm elbow while stretching your hand like an open karate chop but keeping that arm bent, then with that arm, use your wrist to cut his elbow in a pulling 180 degree motion towards the middle of his chest, thus making a swift, unnatural cutting movement on his elbow, twisting his arm and possibly making him fall (you could use the aid of kicking hiss balls with your leg stretched or sweeping him while he's off balance with the swinging cut).
It's important to distract his brain's attention to another area, for the reason being that if you let him focus pain on another area, you will have another area to play with. Kick shin (very hard!), kick balls.. etc.
But if you get the chance.. run away, don't play hero!! Knife fights are the main cause of death.

These techniques require at least months of training but also speed, strength and technique. Fail in any of these three aspects and it will likely not end well.
Whoa wtf. That is exactly the videos I watched a min ago. Thats scary.
@Chrintelle1: Whaaaaaaaaaaat? Madness! Well, I suppose you do MMA as well.. I was too lazy to come up with the proper Japanese names for the techniques, so I looked up descriptive Youtube titles.
