There's a new boy in my football club

There's a new boy in my football club and he hasn't really made any friends yet. Me and my friends were messing about with him and he told our coach that we were "bullying him". My coach went mad and said he was going to ring up all of our parents because he doest tolerate bullying. We were just joking with him though.

He may not have taken it as joking. Not everyone can take a joke, especially those who have been bullied in the past. Having a group of people 'messing' with an insecure person can easily be taken as bullying. Just take it as a lesson.

Well yeah picking on the new guy is bullying. Some people can't take a joke because they have been hurt before. I know everyone screwing with me messed me up in many ways even if they were kidding I couldn't tell. I assume they weren't. You should be ashamed of yourself.

I understand you and ur friends may have meant no harm. But being the "new kid" is the absolute worst. They need encouragement and support. The last thing they are up for is ribbing by kids they barely know.
