People do, occasionally, and yes I open it, once I've had a look through the side window as to who it is. Last time was 3 weeks ago, a pregnant woman who was stranded, we ended up letting her stay the night in our guest bed.
@Alex1610: Oh well, she was stuck - she'd expected to stay with our neighbour (her aunt) but she'd moved a while back; and the poor woman had walked, I didnt want to see her walking another huge distance so late at night.
