give a reason why people block you.

I've always wondered what a religious fanatic means to others. For me, it means telling the same story over and over and expecting other people to believe it.

Not that the story isn't. true but that they think they have to tell people instead of listening to what people are already seemingly aware of.

@Justpeaceandlove: I suppose it means different things to different people. To me a religious fanatic is someone who believes that only their version is the truth, the light and the way even though they have no evidence to support it. Also they are unwilling to consider anyone else's ideas even if that person has real evidence.

If they listen then they do so only in order to respond with their own doctrine instead of listening to understand. That kind of thing.

@Wraithorn: yes that's exactly what I feel and receive from the religeous communities.

@Justpeaceandlove: I was brought up by a fanatically religious preacher father and he never was able to answer this question satisfactorily. "Why are all other people who were born into different cultures/religions going to Hell even though their religion teaches them that I am going to hell/purgatory ?" His best reply was that they have the opportunity to convert when they hear the "truth".

@Wraithorn: it's never Gods way in my mind but mans way that always wants to cause issues with people. The story of Cain and Abel alone tell of jealousy of man not of God.

I dated a guy four years ago that is a son a preacher. More like a son of a bastard. And I mean that in the nicest possible way.

@Justpeaceandlove: I understand. I have personally not seen or spoken to my father for 23 yrs now. I respect him Zero because he just uses and abuses in the name of god.

@Wraithorn: that is so true. The guy as far as I know stills lives with these controlling parents with 2 others brothers all in their 50's. Pretty much drug addicts. And the parents as of last year that I know of still can't understand why.
