Actually yes there is, if your hair is too long and you take a shower, the hair absorbs all the water and adds weight to it. With enough length it can cause neck injuries from trying to support all that weight.lets say for every 8 inches of hair it absorbs 1 pound of water. If youre about 5'6 that's 66 inches of hair which amounts to almost 10 extra pounds on your head if it's wet which is 10 more pounds on your neck on the rear of your neck which leads to problems and you have to keep your head from reeling back
