What do you think of 13 years olds?

I think they should be more careful online than they usually are.

I see them as innocent and childish. Exposed to adult things they don't yet fully understand, but that they will come to understand. I see them as people who don't yet know themselves or even the little world they live in let alone the larger bits. I fully understand that's not true of every 13 year old and there's likely plenty of them who are more mature and or knowledgeable than myself. But my gut instinct is to profile them this way as most 13 year olds i have encountered including myself have been that way.

Probably the toughest age, I think, starting the whole transition to adulthood stuff, dealing with enormous hormonal surges with no experience (or really any education) about how to do so, still being treated like a sub-10 year old quite often; sometimes feeling like that, and sometimes feeling like 22, but noone will recognise the periods of suddenly-grownup.

Oh you poor dear. Your roller coaster is just beginning. That smug look on your face will be wiped out soon. Well good luck!
