Helping others in some sort of need--most effective; walk through a busy downtown market or park and people watch--watch it teem with life,see the colors, the joy in childrens faces; visit a good friend; listen to music; take a walk; treat yourself to a night out--a meal in a nice restaurant; go to a public exhibition/festival--art etc; watch a cooking show and make the featured dish--get into their passion for it.

Being moved to tears by the kindness of others, harmless humour, having my opinion truly valued, helping somebody for no reason, reaping the rewards of hard work, catching up with an old friend, flirting. Happiness is easily confused with other emotions, it's difficult to isolate the things which really make us happy. And by its very definition, it needs to be preceded and followed by sadness to be felt.

Making others laugh and smile

Peace and quiet and being allowed to go at my own pace, supping coffee and watching TV on a rainy day, or going out for a walk and visiting places as I feel. Nice and easy does it.

Accomplishing something. I just feel good getting to a goal no matter how small it might have been.
