A man has died

You may recall my post regarding 'Ice' on the roads where I live and how the local council was so utterly negligent they didn't bother gritting the roads in the slightest.
The man who was concussed from the event has died from his head-injury. The council are directly responsible for this man's death. It was their responsibility to ensure the icy roads were safe to drive on, they did not do that, and as a result a man has now died. A life has been taken thanks to sheer laziness.
Do what you will with this information.

Really? Isn't it incumbent on the driver to take into account the road conditions and drive in a safe and prudent manner? Sorry, speed too fast for conditions is the responsibility of the driver not councils responsibility to correct for an act of nature.

Exactly.
You can't expect the roads to do your driving for you.

@tilagirl: The hell kind of comment is that?
The roads should have been covered in grit, that's the standard plan of action. But rather than do that and ensure the roads were safe to drive on, only some roads were given that special treatment, and now, once more, for those in the back,
A MAN HAS DIED.

Well good news, I didn't realise you were a telepath. Tell me, what speed exactly WAS the car moving at? Because quite frankly, to my eyes, it seemed to be moving at a crawl, considering it was moving down a hill covered in ice.
And this is really your first reaction? A man dies because of bad weather, and your first instinct is to blame him for his own death? It couldn't possibly have anything to do with the road not being properly salted, as is the standard process of dealing with this problem?

@twofacetoo: yeah you already said that a man has died. So are you taking this up with the council?
twofacetoo · 26-30, M
@tilagirl: Yes, I am. I've already contacted them.
SW-User
@twofacetoo: what did they say?

As of yet nothing, I'm awaiting a response.
