Ancient Greece,
Baldur, son of Odin.
Was made invincible by his mothers prayers (the Goddess Frigg) to the Gods of nature.
Which made his enemies jealous.
Loki,Master of war was sent out to find the one thing on Earth that might hurt him and discovered Mistletoe was one of the few things that might actually kill Baldur as it had been missed in Baldur's mothers prayers!
A dart was made of it and it was used to kill Baldur !!
His mother, now realising her mistake. Cried tears over the plant that gave the safe version of Mistletoe, it's berries.
Thus tradition has it that if you kiss under the Mistletoe you shall never be harmed by it.
