How come the notion of A God/Gods and the spread of religion is so engulfed amongst humanity more than anything else can ever subsist?

I understand that people wanted an explanation as to why we are here, but I find it rather interesting that throughout history different groups of individuals all came up with relatively the same idea/s.Could it be because there is some truth to it or...?

This belief will have multiple origination sites for the very reason that speculation on magic will follow guidelines with limited permutations:

1) The supposition we have a spirit
2) The supposition some spirits are stronger
3) The suppositions one spirit is strong enough to create everything and wants to supply us with eternal joy

I think spirit is every and we have the power to create what kind of energy we want.
