I dont understand why people feel they have to get approval of who they are and what they want for their life?
why ask someone to validate who you are as a person?

you want to be loved so do i so does everyone else and when you are loved you can give love but why ask if you can wear girl panties if you are a boy...thats just an example...i dont get why they want me to say its ok..

I think for the person asking is, can you not make me feel embarrassed/make fun of me, for that example. There's also the thing called social norms which creates that wall.

@uilesd: sometimes people will make fun of us but when we are strong in who we are that would not effect us but i understand some of us have self-worth issues and maybe thats why they ask...i just feel for people who are not free in their minds to be who they are without asking permission...its ok to be who you are, its who you are be proud of yourself and never mind the others but dont bring attention to yourself because some will judge you and its not fair to you or me or whoever...thats my point, be who you are dont ask to be who you are...

Same. I too dislike the term social norm and all that kind of stuff so I just ignore it and do what I want.
