If someone intentionally damaged your property, would you be more likely to call the police, or to fight them?

What if there were many of them?

@Alex1610: First try to solve it my self and depending on the threat calling the police ore not, but in general the police is a bad solution.

@Alex1610: They are never around when you really need them, at last not here, so it's better when you can solve your own problems.

@Alex1610: Because we live on the country side, with some bad luck the nearest police care is an hour away.
