What is it about these things that nourishes your soul?

Well, connecting with and helping others....when you see the light coming back into their eyes, where there was none, or the pain in them diminish a little because you took the time to care, it's a wonderful feeling. To step outside of yourself and your own problems and make a difference in someone else's life, I thrive on that. It makes life worth living. Reading, writing, and music are like the artistic expressions of communication and relationships. They are each in my soul and touch me to the core. They are my faithful companions, that fill me up when I am empty and they allow me to use them to pour life back into others.
