Why do women here like to show off how many unread messages they have?

I see it happen a lot. They seem proud of being ignorant. I don't understand why

[c=#BF0080]It makes them feel 'popular', I guess.. or all the men want them or whatever. Little do they know most of us get them.. if I didn't clean my inbox out every few days then mine would be the same way. It's certainly nothing special lol.[/c]
