One thing you like about SW and one thing you don't?

friedchickenwing · 22-25, F
I like the gifts. They're silly. And I like the anonymity and the way questions automatically are seen on the home page- it guarantees what you say will be seen.

However I don't like the fact that you can't report trolls. Of course there will be disagreements and rudeness but if someone's account obviously exists solely for the purpose of antagonizing people, there shouldn't be an obligation to let them sour the environment of your website

@ME0334: but there is a report profile feature. Right on the block/mute button is the report button as well. Go to someone's profile and look at the block button.

@Serenitree: Oh cool, never noticed that, thanks.

I like that it's simple to use and easy on the eyes.
I don't like that it doesn't (yet) have that many users, which would/will mean more stuff in feeds to read.

Bonus: I don't like that the "Receive notifications on replies" box when you answer a question (like I'm doing now) is defaulted to being checked. I'd rather it not be defaulted to spam me every time someone else answers this q.

Completely agree on the check box thing.

Don't like: A lot of people

@ME0334: I'm sorry you took it as a criticism. I meant it as an encouragement. I didn't know when you joined. I figured if you were sticking around, there must be some of us that you actually like..........like me for instance. I'm very likeable, once you get to know me.

@Serenitree: Probably so, but I did say I dislike more than I like. I didn't say all for a reason :) Sorry to take offense as quickly as I did.
Serenitree · F
@ME0334: you get used to that on these social sites. I think there are so many who are really negative, because they're unhappy with themselves or their lives, so they expect criticism. I'm basically a happy person. I love people. I enjoy this kind of socializing, because I'm old and I don't get out like I used to. Unlike a lot of others, I enjoy talking to people of all ages.

Welcome to SW. I hope your balance of likes and dislikes will change as you spend more time with us. There are so very many really wonderful people on the site, in spite of the relatively small membership.

The fact people can freely express themselves in an open forum.

The people. That applies to both like and dislike.
Adogslife · 61-69, M
I like the variety and genuine kindness of the people you meet here.

I wish I could limit my notifications to just items I've written that are "hearted" or that have received a direct response. I'd prefer to not be notified of simple everyday responses to the thread.
Serenitree · F
It would be good to have that option, but I wouldn't want it for me. I like to be notified of what others are thinking and saying. When it goes on too long, I stop notifications.

I like the posts & comments that make me laugh, but I don't like that we can't post our own vids on here.
Serenitree · F
I love the people.
Not too crazy about the lack of structure.
