Has anyone got osteoarthritis in one or both knees?

What helps with it?

Motrin.

And staying as active as possible. Moving around lubricates joints. Sitting still lets then dry out and get worse. Gentle exercise like swimming.

And Advil PM at night so you can sleep.

@OWise1: You can't? Why on Earth not? My goodness, you can't be allergic to everything!

My pain tolerance is actually pretty high and I only resort to medicine once or twice a week, but now and then it just gets to be hard to take and you need a little relief. What does your doctor say?

@GoodoldBob: I have asthma and the motrin seems to spur it . Further, I am allergic to sulfa and alleve and advil have a sulfa component to it. :(

@OWise1: Aspirin? Surely there is something?

I do, and what's helped is to stay active, and Icy Hot.

You're very welcome. I've had OA in both knees about five years, and you?
