Do you think a national identity is important?

@grandaddypurple: There have been many clashes about religion. But I don't think they are limited to religion. There are aspects of our cultures that are offended by other cultures because they are fundamentally different and at times contradictory.

@mar3sword: you don't think those differences are based in religious belief's ?? I sort of think that is the root of all the problems! If everybody would just admit that they don't really know! after all no one is right when everybody is wrong!

@grandaddypurple: Some of them are. But a lot of those people aren't particularly religious. How do you know everyone is wrong?

@mar3sword: I've lost you here? Some of them are what? I guess I am talking about something else than what you are thinking about. I don't think any religion we have on earth now are based in any truth. It is philosophy at best. That's what I mean when I say no one is right when everybody is wrong. There is plenty of evidence to refute every religion on earth. And religion is what everybody is fighting about. Well actually there is way more to it than that. We are being manipulated and taught to hate. It is being done on purpose and religion is just one means by which it is being done.

@grandaddypurple: it is a lot harder to disprove a religion than you may think. You think there is some elite governing body pulling the strings?

@mar3sword: there is an elite governing body pulling the strings and the wool over peoples eyes who can't use common sense reasonable thinking. If you do a little research you will find that all religions come from the same source. It is easy to see that none of it is based in truth if one wants to see it.

@grandaddypurple: One source? Many religions are older than all current organizations and institutions, governments, or nations. They began in various times in various places spanning many thousands of years. How could they possibly have the same source.

@mar3sword: astrotheology ! for starters , they all trace back to shamanism , mythology and philosophy. Here's a couple of really good documentaries if you are interested they are both by the same author the first is titled "The Aquarius initiation" and "The Pharmacratic inquisition" very educational.

@grandaddypurple: Hmmm... But very different mythologies and philosophies. I see very little evidence that Islam or Judaism or Christianity have their basis in shamanism.

@mar3sword: Life is a journey ! as I am sure you have learned already. I would never lie to you as I told you "ALL" religions go back to the same source they were just adapted to fit different cultures and a lot of the things one religious group tells you about another usually isn't quite correct.

@grandaddypurple: I cannot believe you as many religions evolved independently of each other with no external contact. Yes, but my knowledge is not just from one religion. It is from their own texts and from external historical sources.

@grandaddypurple: The origin of man? How can we conclusively know anything about that? There is very little real data of where and when we began.

@mar3sword: there are the oldest writings from the oldest known civilization. Ancient Sumerian clay tablets. However I was reading something the other day and they are saying they have found some older one's. Anyway many of the stories from ancient Sumerian stories are the foundation for modern religion. They were before Egypt and it is known fact that all the other religions came from there. If you don't believe me you need to research it. Have you ever heard of the epic of Gilgamesh?

@mar3sword: also in just the last 15 years or so they have actually been able to translate some more of the clay tablets and what they are saying they say is quite profound. Did you know that ancient Sumerian language is quite complicated. Forgive me for not remembering this correctly but I believe it has some 800 characters but as I said I may be way off on that. I just tried to look it up and couldn't find it quickly enough. Anyway each character has more than one meaning and can also be numerical. So it is quite complicated. These are where everything started from. I watched some great documentaries on this and would be glad to share them if you are interested. I would have to go back and try to find them though.

@mar3sword: I can only remember a couple documentaries about the clay tablets that were , well pretty hard to believe actually. They are based on work by a guy named Zecharia Sitchin was the main guy who translated the tablets. There is a huge volume of tablets and they have only translated a tiny fraction that has been found. Also they are saying there are tons more out in the desert that have not been excavated yet. Anyway the guy who made these vids never mentions anything about where he got his info but I actually emailed him and ask him. I ask him if it was fiction or fact he said it was based on the teachings and writings of Sitchin and that it is historical fact. I still have some concerns and sorry but have some skepticism because some of it is just so hard to believe. Anyway don't blame me if it seems a bit far fetched. They are on youtube I think there is a series of five called "The Knowledge of the forever time". If anything else it is entertaining. I ask him just where he got some of his information because I have never heard it anywhere he assurreeded me it was truth. But you know how that goes. I will look up some others that aren't so far out there but you can probably find some yourself on youtube. But check those out and let me know what you think. Pretty wild stuff.
