I completely agree with you and it makes absolutely no sense

You never know what happened if they won’t tell you. But in many cases there is another person who loves to spread rumors in order to separate friends. It is deliberate and calculated. It happened at work with someone who was jealous and what she got out of doing that I don’t know.
I'm having that same problem. There are people here I used to have very heart-felt and in-depth conversations with. Now, they're not answering my messages. Maybe it's truth overload. Seems people are more interested in being superficial. The deeper stuff that gets people to look at themselves, isn't good, I guess.

Some People show interest initially just to know more about you.

If you can't be useful to them, then they slowly move away.

Something has ticked them off that you are not aware of probably.

Its an competition in your line of work. Nobody is ever truly your friend

I know all about that. It used to hurt my feelings, but it's happened enough times to where now I'm just like "Fuсk you too then." It's just typical, really. It just means you had the unfortunate luck of falling in with another fake person, but they should be easily dismissed as such when they reveal themselves. Life's too short to get hung up over people that shouldn't even matter to you.

Have you tried talking to them about it to see if there is anything going on?
