Have you experience racism?

My experience: I was just riding my bike around in the summer and this kid walked by me and stopped dribbling his basketball because I ( a person of darker skin) was nearby, his dad just said "this guy's an asshole, he won't have a future anyway." I was extremely offended by it, my color shouldn't determine what's in store for me. The dad, ironically, had a spray tan. So he thinks someone with darker skin can be so unsuccessful, yet he tries to look like he has darker skin.

Young man, there might have been another reason that kid's dad said what he said besides your skin color, but anyone would be offended by that kind of remark.

Just know that there are a great many people who do not judge anyone by skin color, and who are likewise offended when people such as that dad base judgements on skin color. You yourself know your own worth, and you have it in you to achieve anything you want in this life. The only limit anyone has is what they themselves place on themselves.
