Have you experience racism?

My experience: I was just riding my bike around in the summer and this kid walked by me and stopped dribbling his basketball because I ( a person of darker skin) was nearby, his dad just said "this guy's an asshole, he won't have a future anyway." I was extremely offended by it, my color shouldn't determine what's in store for me. The dad, ironically, had a spray tan. So he thinks someone with darker skin can be so unsuccessful, yet he tries to look like he has darker skin.

I don't know about racism.. maybe it was.. but my first few selfie pics on HERE were in the summer so I was darker, I have olive skin as it is so I do get kinda dark.. but MANY people thought I was African American or mixed and I was actually treated differently (nicer) when they found out I was Caucasian. It was eye opening.

Really? That is an interesting observation.

Those people are really shallow then, I hope they didn't say terrible things

@HoraceGreenley: Actually, now that I think about it when I rejected a guy he called me a black ape. 😳 That's when I first realized I was being mistaken for another race.
