Losing a parent is tough even if the parent wasn't the best...

Since my father has passed away all the children including myself have either had babies or bought a dog...

Funny how different we all think we are because we ha e different mums but we are all hurting the same
It's like a piece of you dies with them.

@Spoiledbrat wholeheartedly agree.
Lifes never straight forward.

My girlfriend and her dad were not on speaking terms when he passed. His choice, sadly. Bet he regrets it, wherever he is.

@uncalled4 tbh it's very difficult to resolve situations when people are head strong, stubborn, set in their ways... My nan always says pride cometh before a fall!

I would like to think as we get older and wiser we try to resolve conflict and build any bridges we've burned, I believe that's the only way we can die in peace.
And leave those left behind with mini gifts of resolution.

I'm glad I spent the time I did with my dad.
It's made me a better person as the anger I and frustration has gone in regards to him.
But my mum she refuses to take on the lessons she "learned" it lasted for all of 3 months after his passing now she's back to her immature behaviour...
Lifes a joke to her!
