Honestly as an "older" woman im starting to feel invisible and cast aside.

Do you really think you're an older woman? Or are you using this as a conversation starter.
Come to think of it, this is probably a cultural thing. In some countries, 36-40, would constitute older, but, generally speaking, not in western societies. Especially when families are prioritizing quality of life for their kids, by delaying having kids until they're in their late 30s or 40s, when they're financially secure.
