What’s it mean to live in a gated community?

@Notladylike It might not be a thing down there IDK. It's basically a giant neighborhood or zipcode where you have to have a passcode or go through a security guard to drive into. If you don't live there or are on a list you aren't able to drive or walk the roads. The worst part about some of them. A lot of them actually. Is they restrict full public use of public roads and often require citizens of the larger town area to have to commute around them because only residents of the gated community are allowed to druve through.

@BlueVeins Some of them are.
There's loopholes and blind eyes that are used in many areas that it happens. Often what a planned community will do to get away with it is erect a gate on a public road entering the neighborhood, then have a passcode for the general public but never make said passcode easily obtained or even known about. So while technically not disallowing regular public use, the general public is severally hampered or inconvenienced from being able to use the roads and sidewalks while also being led to believe they are excluded.
