Old People, there must be harmony in the world. Therefore, always let someone younger than you go ahead of you at the supermarket.

We within the world have just had a lockdown. Many of the young will have used this extra time to attune their sensitivity of creation, heighten their sense of spirituality and calibrate their prayers so they can achieve their goals with finesse and wisdom.

So I am not complaining about the fact that I was not allowed to leave my house or work for quite some time for the sake of old people.

However, seeing as the old (because of lockdown) got to affect the Young's time, that means the young should feel entitled in ques at shops and an old person should always kindly offer to allow a younger person go Infront of them.

This principle is not so different than a young person letting a rickity old people have their seat on public transport.

It's always best to avoid asking or taking unsolicited advice.

People rarely ask for it when it's offered and rarely follow it when it's given.
@SteelHands we must agree to disagree

@EsculationOfEpiphaniesAndCosmi Sure. An umbrella offered when it's not raining that's taken away when it is might be just as useful as a urinal in a dark room ya don't hit when ya pizs.

Lol

Go ahead. Cut in front of me. Just once. You’ll be back at home recuperating for quite some time.

Remember, at my age a life sentence isn’t that big a threat.

Ahhh, no. First come, first served.
It's a good opportunity for others to learn patience and leaving earlier to get chores done.
You've got to be kidding! For my first 50+ years, I deferred to older citizens, like giving up my seat or place in line. The reason for that social amenity is because the bodies of the elderly don't necessarily work well and are often in pain when when standing.

The pandemic lockdown was NOT for the sake of the elderly, it was for the sake of EVERYONE, especially those too young for the vaccine.

You didn't think this through.

That's funny. I'm an old person. I live in the country. I told my family, three daughters a son, son-in-law and four grandkids birthday's and special occasions like holidays called for family get togethers and the government could kiss my ass. The government overstepped it's authority.

@Baremine I still am not vaxed. Doctor said if I got covid I would die. Had it twice. Felt like crap for a couple of weeks. Good now. Vit C and D.

Thats actually a very thoughtful piece of advice. Thank you. Thinking of my own time poor son and daughter, I really can spare those extra minutes they need..😷

Good suggestion. I'm 70-plus, retired, and never in a hurry anyway. I also think there should be an age limit on people using self-checkout lines. (No point in arguing with the machines!)

@LeeInTheNorthWoods I always use self checkout tills

Automatic bank draw systems and checkout free stores without checkouts don't exist yet for the low class,

but they do where the servants of the top feeders buy the grass fed gmo free healthy food for the billionaire class.

Amazing hey? Here's how stores are in those future worlds.

Your smartphone and facial recognition id is automatically logged in and linked to a cart basket inside a store.

Products taken from their placements are detected by sensors. Each item you select to drop in liner bags in a cart or carry as you walk through a store ends up as a charge on your account.

No checkouts. You just pick up bags or items and walk out of the store. It's impossible to steal because where you walk out if you take items without a green lit indicator confirming authorisation, the door dispatches le and takes you into custody.

Cool huh?
