Why do Jewish comedians always let you know

that they are Jewish in their comedy routine?
I mean, Catholics, Muslims, Protestants, comedians etc. don't do this.
Unless a comedian is talking about their growing up home life, their religion or beliefs is irrelevant.
Seems, they always make it a point to let you know they are Jewish. Why?
By the way, I'm not being racist or am I anti-Jew, I would just like to know why and if there is a significant reason for this.

The Marx Bros. never mentioned it. Harpo didn't even talk. When he died, he donated his harp to the state of Israel. Chico pretended to be Italian. I can't recall Mel Brooks or Rodney Dangerfield talking about it, either.

@graphite The Marx brother's never mentioned it. Neither did the 3 Stooges. Neither did Danny Kaye. In fact, many of the old days Jewish entertainers/comedians never mentioned it.

@IM5688 How successful do you suppose their careers would have been at the time if they had? Happily this has changed.
