Why do Jewish comedians always let you know

that they are Jewish in their comedy routine?
I mean, Catholics, Muslims, Protestants, comedians etc. don't do this.
Unless a comedian is talking about their growing up home life, their religion or beliefs is irrelevant.
Seems, they always make it a point to let you know they are Jewish. Why?
By the way, I'm not being racist or am I anti-Jew, I would just like to know why and if there is a significant reason for this.

Ever see a black comedian not tell jokes relevant to his/her “black” experiences?

Our individual “hang ups” and experiences are the fodder for our jokes.

I’m more confused by/in real life when someone feels compelled to tell me they’re gay and the topic of sexual proclivity hasn’t arisen. Maybe I’m supposed to care? 🤔
@Adogslife Often, I find it easier to set expectations soon… as many guys will aggressively hit on you at their earliest possible opportunity. This is of course not all guys, but it’s often easier to set those expectations from the get to avoid more uncomfortable situations later. It’s not that they’re supposed to care (nobody does,) it’s more so that we are not the subject of their unwanted attentions.

Pot, meet kettle.
@BacarySagnasleftankle Then please show us some examples.

@DarkHeaven I was (kind of) referring to gay men. But, I completely understand your dilemma. Straight men can be tough and more so depending how ignorant/stubborn they are. They somehow assume that they have the golden penis that will set you straight.
@Adogslife I understand. I have no experience with the gay man part, so I’m not entirely sure why. Sorry.
