I like how you realize that college costs 200,000 and concert tickets cost 1,000 and your response is to get mad at young people for thinking getting a degree and seeing a concert shouldn't be fucking impossible.

@CountScrofula somehow this made me teary eyed ~ thank you
Smurfy · 31-35, F
@CountScrofula Seeing a concert that cost a $1000 should not be on your agenda when you have a huge debt that you signed up for that you should be paying unless you have no problem affording both
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
@Smurfy Awesome you solved the student debt crisis!

@CountScrofula Well said.

@Smurfy imagine not being able to live your life because you have student debt 🙄

@iamonfire696 "I shouldn't live the rest of my life cause I want an education 😍"
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
@wackidywack Exactly, it’s ridiculous. Here’s the rub.
1. You went to school and got a degree and you get shit on for going to a concert because you accepted debt relief.
2. Or you choose not too and go on social assistance programs like welfare, food stamps, etc and if you decide to do something fun living on government aid you get shit on.
Moral of the story that I doesn’t matter what you do you are gonna piss someone off.

@TrashCat Heh, I would bet me entire student debt that any political figure would be going to see Kanye West. That would be like if some metal head went to see Celine Dion. Unless his g/f dragged him at gunpoint.

Or if you stand by and do nothing somehow you are still the bad guy. @CountScrofula
Awesome you solved the student debt crisis!
Hey that is why I won't go see Taylor Swift. I got a letter and it said as long as I forego this show my student debt would be erased. I tell ya the decision near killed me. 😄@TrashCat Heh, I would bet me entire student debt that any political figure would be going to see Kanye West. @HoeBag see you can’t do anything right 🤣

@iamonfire696 $1000 concert tickets is living life for wealthy. If not wealthy, one can go to other concerts or listen to recordings. Even, heaven forbid, get out in nature. I earned Public Service Loan Forgiveness and know servicers are corrupt and inept from first hand experience.
That stated, one needs to be able to differentiate between Needs, Wants, and Luxuries.

@Neoerectus Going out in nature is not comparable to going to a Taylor Swift concert so that makes no sense.
I am not wealthy but I could spend that amount to go to a concert. Would I, no but I could.
Of course it’s NOT a need, it’s a WANT but going to a concert doesn’t make anyone a bad person. Everyone still gets to live their lives even if you don’t approve of the way they are doing it 🤷🏼♀️
