There weren’t many options for women. I would probably be a prostitute or own a brothel. Those women made good money in their era and had more freedom.

That’s why I would probably lean towards brothel owner. The life spans weren’t thT long anyway, and I would rather have the freedom of a prostitution while alive than die in childbirth anyway. @Dan193
