I've just listened to the best performance I've ever heard of one of my favourite piano concertos - Tchaikovsky's 2nd. played by Yuja Wang on YouTube. The girl is a phenomenon. So I'm on top of the world.

@alan20 You are exuding happiness. 🙃 I am happy for you.

@SW-User When I first heard Tchaik2 it was in Derry. The concert was due to be repeated the next evening 80 miles away in Belfast. I drove the 160 miles to hear it again. Wang's performance is even better. Straight to the heart. I noticed your comment from Jung. Used to be a great admirer of his - his theories of the collective unconscious, etc. So much more of a humane philosopher than Freud.

SW-User
@alan20 yeah I am not a fan of Freudian theories. Jung is relatable for me.
Your passion for music is very apparent.

@SW-User Actually try to keep quiet about music on this site because for so many there is an element of intellectual snobbery. My father especially loved music for what it was - an emotional expression.

SW-User
@alan20 I mean if people were to get snobbish about music...you have nothing to be concerned about.
Look at what you listen to ...
Some of us are stuck on pop...lol.
(Not quite pop but you get the gist .I hope)
