So I've started leaving the doggy in the flat on his own...

I usually put him in his crate but this week I've been going to my bedroom for a nap, an hour max to see how he copes.
He scratches at the door for a bit then sits outside for a short while, plays with some toys then finds a place to settle.
I always make sure he's had snacks and been for a w**/p**p before I go...

I want him to get used to my absence...

Best way to do it. Easing them in amd ensuring theyve done their things as well. Hopefully he'll get used to it soon x

@cuppatea oh wow...
Hes learned not to make mess in my home anymore.
But he did chew up my new work note book today.
I'm really peeved and will have to replace it
Silly sausage.
I usually put him in the crate but today I thought let me just see how he behaves.
I'm really upset.
The thing is it was on my table, he must have jumped up.
Thing is when it was resting on my sofa he didnt touch it, so I know he did it to try and get attention.

I've learned my lesson.

What breed is it? 🙂

@cuppatea he's a Boston terrier.
I thought he'd be OK in the crate seeing me but he kept whining so I put the cover over it.
He's quietened down.
