I had expected it:The death of the Queen would touch me.
And so it is. I am not a royalist, but I cannot deny her my respect for her lifetime achievements. There must have been few kings and queens in the history of the world who were as beloved by their subjects (and far beyond) as she was.
So I bow to her and wish her a peaceful rest and my thoughts are with her family. May her beloved husband welcome her on the other side so they may be reunited again.... this time forever. 🖤

I understand what you mean. I am, however, a Royalist - and proudly so - and although many have expected this sad day to have come, it's a shock and still deeply upsetting that this wonderful lady, who you could call 'The Nation's Beloved Grandmother', has passed on to the other side, after her commitment to her country and all it's inhabitants for all these years.
Still in shock...numb...sad.....
But proud of her, still in service only days before her death.
