@DoubleRings That is sad . I had a couple bad experiences . Did they tell you to eat a good meal and hydrate before coming in >? I eat a piece of fish an egg some spinach and a small baked potato . Covers all he vitamins and calories they suggested ❤️ 🌹

@anoderod55 no they didn’t. And that was prob the problem I think. I was donating as a group when I was a young adult so I didn’t talk directly to them. Back then I didn’t drink a ton of water and I prob didn’t eat right either. So yeah no wonder it took so long but when your first time sucks it’s hard to say “let’s do it again!” Especially after they said they couldn’t even use what I gave.

@DoubleRings Understand that . Probably why my first time was bad . I was afraid to eat , for thought i would get sick . Platelets and plasma is a bit easier . Once needle part is done . Only worry then is having to go to the restroom . It takes longer to do than whole blood . 🦋

@DoubleRings I tried as well and the technician couldn’t find my vein and when she took the needle out I experienced horrible pain, my whole arm was badly bruised the next day, never went back

@Somewhereovertherainbow That is sad . Had a few of those early on . Got to a point where i could tell they went clear through vein . Told survey i was tired of getting trainees . My right arm seems to be needle ready . Make sure to hydrate . I quit drinking water bout 2 hours before donation . . 🦋
