I'm a sanitizing freak, and my hands are buring now.

I tend to sanitize my hands like 5-10 times a day, each time I touch a handle when I'm out and about.
Now I started using a diff sanitizer a couple of days ago, it was alright just a weird smell, and more liquidy. I just applied it, and for some reason now my hands are burning. I went and washed them with soap, but they are still burning.

@Dan193 No one wants to get sick. But most of us stay healthy without sanitizing our hands that often. Just washing with ordinary soap after using the lavatory should be enough. In fact alcohol based sanitisers are probably less effective than ordinary soap.

@ninalanyon yeah, but what to do when you're out and touch stuff? What if I touch my face without realizing?

@Dan193 I sanitise after I go into shops etc. I probably sanitise as often as you do. I'm not paranoid but my husband is vulnerable at the moment and I don't want to take anything back to him. Maybe the perfume they add to sanitisers is irritating your skin. Lots of people have sensitive skin. Maybe go back to the one you're used to?

@Dan193 But you're making yourself sick worrying about it. Kind of a catch-22 haha it does sound like OCD. Try to stop it and if you can't then you know you have a problem.

@Fluffybull yeah, I dont think Im paranoid either, just taking precautions, because while I might have an easier form, I don't want to risk infecting anyone I care about.

@Dan193 It's not just covid I'm wary about, it's colds and flu. Hub's going into hospital on Wednesday and he can't get any infection. I'm just being careful for a while 👍
